Enner
Out for 4-6 weeks after dropping a coffee cup on his foot according to some report in Ecuador.

Because it's WEST HAM this is probably true.

Re: Enner
I'm very happy to see him on the bench, or stepping in as cover. Not quite sure what Morgan has done wrong though, and would like to see him at least come on later in games to punish weary defences. But anyway... ...good news that Enner's foot has seemingly healed with no problems.

Fivetide, but that would mean dropping Captain Fantastic?

Re: Enner
Good stuff. Start him up front every game alongside Sakho with Downing behind and just leave it alone.

Only good news if he is used properly.

Out wide then it is pointless him being in the team.

Canizares out of World Cup

Canizares was Spain's first choice keeper

Spain goalkeeper Santiago Canizares will miss the World Cup after a freak mishap in his hotel room at the team's training base in Jerez, Spain.
Canizares severed a tendon in his right foot after he accidentally smashed a bottle of aftershave and a shard of glass penetrated his flesh.

The 32-year-old, who has won 35 caps for Spain and is the team's first-choice keeper, was taken to Jerez general hospital where he underwent surgery.

He managed to put on a brave face after being told that his World Cup was over.

It was a terrible piece of bad luck for Canizares and I am certainly not happy- Real Madrid's Iker Casillas

"I do not consider myself to be unlucky by any means," Canizares told reporters at the team's training base.

"From the start of my career I have had several strokes of good luck.

"But, just like everyone else, I have also had difficult times which I have had to cope with.

"Now I have to overcome this blow to my morale, and in my case that may take a week or just three days.

"No-one makes their way in the world of football without having to overcome obstacles.

"I still believe that the best moments of my career are yet to come and, health permitting, I will be aiming to be successful in the next World Cup."

The Valencia keeper will be replaced by Malaga's uncapped Pedro Contreras, while Canizares' place in the starting line-up is now likely to be taken by Real Madrid's Iker Casillas.

Agonising month

"It was a terrible piece of bad luck for Canizares and I am certainly not happy because a team-mate has been injured," said Casillas.

"But football is like that. Now Ricardo, Contreras and myself will have to fight it out for the place and any of us could be chosen."

The injury is a bitter blow to Canizares, who was Spain's second choice goalkeeper at the last World Cup.

He had only recently established himself as Spain's number one.

Doctors said Canizares would be immobilised for about a month before beginning his rehabilitation.

The Spain squad leaves for South Korea and Japan on Monday.

Re: Enner
Wasn't it Dave Beasant who dropped a bottle of salad cream on his foot and was out for ages? Cut his toe to ribbons or something, similar to Enner.

I think Canizares, the former Spain keeper, dropped a bottle of aftershave and either trod on a broken bit or it landed on his foot.

It's not just West Ham!

Re: Enner
So Allardyce tells Arsenal two days in advance Song has a knee injury and is doubtful. Also Valencia has a cut toe and will probably miss the game. Arsenal already know Reid and Carroll are out and that Jenkinson can't play. Why not just announce the team now you fucking incompetent moronic oaf?

The coffee beans are coming home to roast for the fat fuck.

Re: Enner
He's hardly set the world alight this season anyway, so not as big a loss as Sakho would be again.

Expecting better from him next season when he can actually speak English and has had a proper pre-season.

Enner Valencia sustained a deep laceration of his big toe on Tuesday evening in an accident at his home.

The No31 trod on a piece of teacup, which he had dropped, and the resulting wound required emergency hospital treatment to clean and stitch the wound.

The forward was joined at hospital by West Ham United medical staff, who oversaw the surgery required.

Manager Sam Allardyce said Valencia could miss the weekend Barclays Premier League trip to Arsenal.

"Enner has had an accident at home and has cut his big toe quite severely on a broken cup," said Big Sam. "It has been stitched."

"We're not exactly certain but we think it will be too soon for him be considered for the game at Arsenal on Saturday.

"It was a freak accident at a time when we could have done without it due to our lack of available strikers"

Re: Enner
Thanks for letting us know in advance paul.

Only at West Ham would a player drop a fucking cup and slice his toe open. Classic.
